The Northern Mindanao Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (NOMCAARRD) actively participated in the 7th RDE Week Celebration of Central Mindanao University (CMU) held on April 1-5, 2019 at the University Convention Center with the theme: ‘Equitable Access to Research and Technology Services for Inclusive Growth.’ Dr. Asterio P. Saliot, former National Director of Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) was the keynote speaker. In his message, he emphasized that inclusive growth is defined as an economic growth that is distributed fairly across society and creates opportunities for all.
During the celebration, the consortium showcased information and technologies on Kawayan and Kanding and forage and legumes seeds. It also displayed products from the Binahon Agroforestry Farm (BAFF) which included among others fresh organic carrots, carrot juice, macaroons, and carrot cake. The BAFF is owned by Henry and Perla Binahon. Henry Binahon has been the NOMCARRD’s Magsasaka-Siyentista. His farm is located at Barangay Songco, Lantapan, Bukidnon.
