NOMCAARRD Strengthens Regional Partnership Through Membership Caravan

The 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗖𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗗) travelled for a three-day Membership Caravan across Northern Mindanao from February 11 to 13, 2025.
The goal of the caravan was to invite more agencies and institutions to join the consortium and explore ways to work together in research and development. Key partners and schools visited during the Membership Caravan included 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴, where Mayor Atty. Jose Joel P. Doromal committed to join as a member; 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, whose president Dr. Remwil R. Tornalejo confirmed the school’s re-instatement as a member; and the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗼𝗻, where Governor Rogelio Neil Roque warmly welcomed the consortium and expressed full support. The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 10 (𝗗𝗧𝗜-10), with Director Ruel B. Paclipan present, also confirmed its support. The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 10 (𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧-10), represented by Director Sittie Rahma V. Alawi, offered assistance in digital tools and tech-based projects. The 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 10 (𝗡𝗜𝗔-10), with Engr. Larry C. Franada, approved its annual membership and offered to host NOMCAARRD activities. 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 (𝗜𝗠𝗖𝗖), with President Dr. Royce S. Torres, confirmed its intent to join NOMCAARRD, while 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗠𝗨) expressed strong interest in becoming a member.
The caravan helped build new connections and showed that many institutions in the region are ready to support research and development in agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources. NOMCAARRD believes these partnerships will bring long-term benefits through shared effort in science, technology, innovation and community development.
