REVISED GUIDELINES FOR COVID-RESPONSIVE RSRDH

A. For R and D Paper Presentation

 

  1. CMI may have AAFNR and non-AAFNR categories during their respective AIHRE. Only AAFNR papers are presented during the NOMCAARRD RSRDH.
  1. For papers under the Research and Development categories, only completed AAFNR projects within the last two (2) years from the date of presentation, regardless of fund source, except dissertation or thesis work, are qualified for presentation in the RSRDH.
    •  For the Masters Thesis and Dissertation Category, there will only be one entry from each member-institution. It should be completed within the last two (2) years from the date of presentation.
  1. Only completed projects must be presented. Presentation of the same paper in the succeeding RSRDH is not allowed.
    •  A completed component of a project/program may be presented as a poster. Provided, that this component presented as poster paper should show significant findings worthy to be disseminated. 
  1. The paper should follow NARRDS form No.1 and the approved abstract format. The paper should include the following: Title, Author(S), Abstract (150- 200 Words), Introduction, Objectives, Review of Literature, Conceptual Framework (if appropriate), Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Summary and Conclusion, Implication, Recommendation, Literature Cited, and Acknowledgment.
  1. Researchers shall submit an electronic copy in PDF of the paper to be presented to NOMCAARRD two weeks before the symposium. This is to give ample time for the Secretariat to compile and send copies to the Evaluators.
  1. Each member institution will have a maximum of seven (7) entries for the oral presentation in the RSRDH. Three (3) for AAFNR Research, Three (3) for AAFNR Development, and One (1) for Masters Thesis/Dissertation.
  1. The technical report should have a maximum of 30 pages only (including figures and tables), double spaced, in 12 font size, using A4 paper.
  1. List of researches for presentation in the Regional Symposium should be submitted one month before the conduct of the symposium.
  1. Electronic copies of the papers for presentation in PDF will be distributed to Evaluators one week before the conduct of the symposium.
    •  CMI may opt to require Evaluators to submit a signed Confidentiality Agreement (see attached) for intellectual property protection.
  1. Figures, pictures and illustration should have proper captions/titles.
  1. There shall be only ONE presenter for each paper. The assigned paper presenter shall submit a recorded video of the presentation, showing the slides and the presenter himself/herself. The recorded video shall be submitted to NOMCAARRD at least five (5) days before the RSRDH. The video should only take 15 minutes. Video should be in MP4 format.
  1. The NOMCAARRD Secretariat shall schedule the virtual presentation of each paper presenter. On the scheduled date and time of the presentation, the presenter shall be virtually present (via Zoom or Google Meet) and the recorded video presentation shall be played. After the 15-minute presentation, the Question and Answer shall follow.
    •  The CMI should ensure that internet connection is strong and stable to avoid delay or technical glitch during the presentation.
  1. Classification of papers to be presented shall be done by the agency’s R&D cluster representative based on the paper’s abstract.
  1. Entries must be endorsed by the institution’s/agency’s head or his/her designated representative to NOMCAARRD, certifying that the paper was presented and evaluated during the agency’s in-house review.
    • Except for the master thesis and dissertation category, the head of the agency must also certify that the entries in the Research and Development Categories are not thesis or dissertation work.
    •  The scanned endorsement shall be electronically mailed to NOMCAARD.
  1. The ratings by the Board of Evaluators are final.
B. Technical Poster Presentation

 

  1. The Technical Poster must be 40in x 30in, portrait orientation. The presenter should ensure the correct layout before it is scanned for clarity of the image.
  1. All poster titles to be presented should be submitted to the consortium two (2) weeks before the symposium.
  1. The scanned image in PDF shall be electronically mailed to NOMCAARRD.
  1. The evaluation of posters will be done on the second day of the symposium.
  1. In case two or more posters will have equal ratings, the Consortium Director or his/her assigned or designated representative, shall break the tie.
  1. As a general rule, a paper reported/presented as a competing technical poster should not be competing in the oral presentation to avoid double entry for the same paper.
  1. An oral paper presented in the previous year’s Regional Symposium, may be presented as poster in the RSRDH of the succeeding year.
  1. Entries must be endorsed by the institution’s/agency’s head or his/her designated representative to NOMCAARRD, certifying that the poster was presented and evaluated during the agency’s in-house review.
  1. The Head of the Agency must also certify that the entries in the Poster Category are not outputs of thesis or dissertation work.
  1. The scanned endorsement shall be electronically mailed to NOMCAARD.
  1. Only results completed within the last two (2) years from the date of presentation are qualified to be presented.
  1. The ratings given by the members of the Board of Judges are final.
