NOMCAARRD TWG for M&E also had visited the farm trial sites of Project 2. Soybean for Higher Income and Enhanced Soil Health Under Different Cropping Systems led by Ms. Lorena V. Duna (DA- RFU 10) in Libona, Bukidnon.
On April 6-8, 2021, the TWG for M&E held also a Project Monitoring and Evaluation of PCAARRD-funded project under the implementation of MSU at Naawan. This time, one project and one program with 4 project components were evaluated.
These were: Evaluating IMTA as an Approach to Disease and Environmental Management for Sustainable Culture of Penaeus monodon (2019-2021) and the Accelerated R&D Program for Capacity Building of Research and Development Institutions and Industrial Competitiveness: Niche Centers in Regions for R&D (NICER) Program: Evaluating IMTA as an Approach to Disease and Environmental Management for Sustainable Culture of Penaeus monodon (2019-2021) and the Sea Cucumber R&D Center (2019-2022); with project components namely: (Project 1) Development of Mariculture Technology and Stock Enhancement Protocol for the H. fuscogilva; (Project 2) Ecology, Biology and Genetic Diversity of the White Teatfish, H. fuscogilva in Mindanao; (Project 3) Fisheries Assessment of Sea Cucumbers in Mindanao; and (Project 4) Refinement of Culture Production of the Sandfish, Holothuria scabra in Mindanao.
Monitoring and Evaluation is one of the major functions of the consortium in Region 10. Through this activity, the PCAARRD-funded project was assessed. The consortium was also able to see the actual scenario and assist the implementers relative to their problems encountered during the project implementation.
